Stick – All players must have a regulation stick. The most important thing is to have a well-formed pocket. Sticks off-the-shelf at typical sporting goods stores rarely have this and in some cases the mesh they use is not capable of forming an ideal pocket. We suggest spending less on the stick itself, but then having a custom pocket strung.
Required safety equipment:
• Helmet – white or grey/silver is preferred
• Shoulder pads
• Arm pads
• Gloves
• Mouthpiece
• Cleats – soccer type are fine
• Protective cup
• Equipment bag – this makes storing and transporting your gear easier
• Water Bottle – the “squirt-type” are best so that you don’t always need to remove your helmet to get a drink.

The gear can appear to be somewhat expensive, but it will typically last several years and we have several programs per year that your son might choose to participate in. If you look at it that way and amortize the cost over 2-3 years with 2-3 programs per year, it is a worthwhile investment.
